Detroit People Mover - Joe Louis Arena Station Green Roof

The Detroit Transportation Corporation replaced the aging roofing system on the Detroit People Mover Joe Louis Arena Station, with an updated coal tar pitch roofing system. Instead of utilizing conventional washed stone ballast, a pre-cultivated green roof system was installed creating a 6,000 square foot green space in downtown Detroit.
