Members of Michigan's Transportation Team (MTT) are planning to storm the State Capitol on May 4 to demonstrate to lawmakers the desparate need for transportation funding.

A presentation is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. in the Capitol Rotunda that will include state lawmakers and transportation advocates. ACEC members are encouraged to attend in large numbers to help show support for this important issue.

The transportation budget presented by the Governor would reduce spending for transportation projects by $2.4 billion over the next 5 years. The legislature cannot wait any longer to fix this problem. The state cannot afford to put off adequately funding our transportation system by increasing our debt through the sale of bonds, they need to act now.
