Engineers Legislative Day set for March 17
Architects and Engineers planning annual event, encourage participation -
1/16/2009

ACEC/Michigan, along with legislative partners MSPE and AIA, will hold the 14
th Annual Legislative Day on March 17, 2009, in Lansing.
Last year, over 100 engineers and architects took advantage of this rare opportunity to have some face time with their legislators to discuss issues of importance to the A/E professions.
Legislators traditionally give credence to those constituents who actually travel to Lansing and make personal visits with them and their staff. These meetings educate legislators on pertinent A/E issues which, in turn, helps them to make informed decisions when it comes time to vote on legislation.
Firms are urged to register several people so that we can send a powerful voice to our State Legislators. We have several bills working their way through the legislature that, if passed, will positively affect the business environment for engineers, architects and surveyors. A good turnout for this event will demonstrate to legislators that we speak with a strong voice and that we are actively participating in the legislative process in Lansing.
Become active! Develop a relationship with your Legislators! Make your voice heard and sign up today! Registration information will be available soon, MARK YOUR CALENDARS FOR MARCH 17.
