Increased penalties bill moves out of Senate committee
Headed for full Senate next week -

Senate Bill 1515, sponsored by Senator Alan Sanborn, was unanimously voted out of the Senate Economic Development and Regulatory Reform Committee on Wednesday.
The bill will increase the penalties for the unauthorized practice of professional engineering, architecture or professional surveying. Passage of the bill will give prosecutors the incentive to actively pursure offenders.

The bill now heads to the full Senate, which is expected to take up the bill next week. ACEC members are encourage to contact their senators and request their support of this bill.
