From battlefield to Brownfield to battlefield – the River Raisin Battlefield is the first battlefield in the nation to reclaim its past from subsequent industrial use. Thanks to careful demolition planning and execution, extensive collaboration with an environmental consultant, and effective management of limited monies, Monroe has reclaimed its historic jewel.
