US-131 Interchange Replacement

MDOT moved forward with the design and replacement of the existing US-131/44th Street interchange (a tight-diamond configuration) with a single-point urban interchange (SPUI) - the second SPUI configuration in Michigan with the cross-street carried over the freeway. The project included ramp reconstruction and realignment and the reconstruction of 44 th Street .
