To address safety concerns and major traffic flow issues, a railroad grad separation was designed for Sheldon Road at the railroad crossing. The Sheldon Road alignment was re-designed, and the roadway was lowered 25 feet. With the major change in grade, many utilities were re-designed and re-routed.
